Three

Shun (Wallace Chung), a thug cornered in a police shootout, shoots himself so the cops will stop firing and take him to the hospital. Once there, he cites his human rights to refuse treatment, stalling for time while his gang plans to get him out. Johnnie To puts Dr. Tong Qian (Zhao Wei) and Chief inspector Ken (Louis Koo) in the same ward, each sure they know what is right for the patient.
