Three Colors: Blue

Julie (Juliette Binoche) survives a car accident that kills her husband, a famous composer, and their daughter. She sets out to strip away her old life and live without any attachments, but other people keep reaching her, including a woman she never knew her husband had. Kieślowski's subject is liberty, and Julie sits alone in the hospital, her eyes fixed on the blue light.
