Three Days of the Condor

Joseph Turner (Robert Redford) is a bookish CIA researcher who reads novels for a living, until he comes back from lunch and finds every one of his co-workers dead. With nobody he can trust, he grabs a stranger, Kathy Hale (Faye Dunaway), and holds her at gunpoint to get off the street. Sydney Pollack gives them only a borrowed apartment to hide in, and the fear between them slowly turns into trust.
