Three Lives and Only One Death
Mateo Strano (Marcello Mastroianni), a man stolen away by fairies, wants only to find his way back to ordinary life in Paris. Raúl Ruiz sets four stories side by side, among them a professor who turns tramp and a pair of lovers who inherit a chateau. Mastroianni takes each of his parts without a word of explanation, a figure in a Paris coat, a tramp's coat, a servant's coat.
