Christopher Pride (Jerry Lewis), an artist, has a chance to work in Paris and wants his fiancee, the psychiatrist Dr Elizabeth Acord (Janet Leigh), to come along. She can't leave while three women who distrust men still sit in her office as patients. Jerry Lewis directs and plays Christopher, who dresses up as several different men to win the women over, so the trip can finally happen.
