Three on a Match

(1932)Directed by Mervyn LeRoy63 minCrime, Drama
“Three wise girls who barred no holds and bit in the clinches.”

Three girls from the same school grow up and drift apart, then meet again years later to find their lives have gone in very different directions. Vivian Revere (Ann Dvorak) looks like the one who made it, yet her taste for drink, drugs and nights out is already pulling her life apart. Mervyn LeRoy keeps Mary Keaton (Joan Blondell) beside her through the slide, the one friend who stays close while Vivian pulls away.
