“If you really believe, magic will find you”

Nobody can say exactly who Jack McCloud (Patrick Swayze) is, a drifter with a dog who walks in front of Jeanne Holman's (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) car and ends up with a broken leg. She takes him in to heal at her house, where her sons Tom (Joseph Mazzello) and Gunny (Seth Mumy) watch him closely. Martha Coolidge puts a stranger in a family's kitchen, and what the Holmans stand to lose is how they were before he came.
