Thug Life

During a violent police shootout, the mafia kingpin Rangaraya Sakthivel (Kamal Haasan) and his brother Manikkam pull a young boy out of the gunfire and raise him as their own. Years later that boy is Amaran (Silambarasan), and when an assassination attempt rocks Sakthivel's empire, the suspicion turns toward the family he built. Mani Ratnam sets the story between these two men, one who gave a child a home and one who grew up inside the shadow of that debt.
