Thumbsucker

“He's not O.K. they're not O.K. and that's O.K.”

Justin Cobb (Lou Taylor Pucci) is seventeen, lives in suburban Oregon, and still sucks his thumb, which his parents Audrey (Tilda Swinton) and Mike (Vincent D'Onofrio) have run out of ways to talk about. A dentist, Perry (Keanu Reeves), tries one cure, and an ADHD diagnosis brings another. In Mike Mills's first feature, the pills quiet the habit, but Justin has never known himself without it, and what he stands to lose is the only version of himself he recognizes.
