Thunder Force

“Newly super. Almost heroes.”

Lydia Berman (Melissa McCarthy) wants her old best friend back, and in a world full of supervillains, that friend is now a scientist named Emily Stanton (Octavia Spencer). Emily has developed a treatment that gives ordinary people powers, and Lydia ends up the first to take it, with Emily beside her. Ben Falcone, who wrote the film and has directed McCarthy before, keeps the jokes and the fights coming close together.
