Thunder on the Hill

(1951)Directed by Douglas Sirk84 minDrama, Mystery
“Six desperate people...hiding one guilty secret!”

A convent hospital sits in a flooded English countryside in 1951, and bad weather leaves a convicted murderess stranded there on her way to Death Row. Sister Mary Bonaventure (Claudette Colbert) listens to Valerie Carns (Ann Blyth) and begins to doubt the verdict, and Douglas Sirk follows her as she starts looking for the real killer. The nun and the condemned girl have only the storm's delay, and one believes the other.
