tick, tick... BOOM!

“How much time do we have to do something great?”

A ticking sound follows Jonathan Larson (Andrew Garfield) through the weeks before his thirtieth birthday, and he can't tell whether it's a clock or his own nerves. He is a theater composer with one unfinished musical, a girlfriend, Susan (Alexandra Shipp), and a closest friend, Michael (Robin de Jesús), who has already left the starving-artist life behind. Lin-Manuel Miranda stages Jonathan's songs as bursts of pure feeling, and the ticking never quite goes away.
