Sergeant Francis Li (Chow Yun-Fat) is a veteran Hong Kong cop who wants the heroin trafficker's murder closed fast and his new partner out of his way. That partner is Michael Cho (Conan Lee), a rookie who can't stand him back, and Lau Kar-leung puts the two in one car and one case. Their bickering turns slowly into trust as they chase the same killer.
