Tigerland
“The system wanted them to become soldiers. One soldier just wanted to be human.”
Pvt. Roland Bozz (Colin Farrell) wants out of the Army, and he spends his weeks in Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, finding every way to get himself and the men around him discharged. It is 1971, and Tigerland is the last stop for tens of thousands of recruits before Vietnam. Joel Schumacher shoots the camp in grain and mud, and the film settles on Bozz, a cigarette in his mouth, standing in the Louisiana swamp.
