On the planet Perdide, a swarm of giant hornets wrecks a car and leaves young Piel alone beside his dying father. A mayday call reaches Jaffar (Jean Valmont), an adventurer crossing space, and his shuttle turns toward Perdide with Silbad (Michel Elias) and the renegade Prince Matton aboard. René Laloux and the designer Mœbius draw the whole race as a rescue, with one boy on the ground waiting for the man who answered.
