Time of the Wolf

Anne Laurent (Isabelle Huppert) is a mother who takes her husband Georges (Daniel Duval) and their two children to the family's country house after an unnamed disaster empties the city. They expect to find it as they left it. Michael Haneke keeps the cause hidden and stays with the family's fear, and the film turns on what Anne and her husband owe each other as the quiet around them stops feeling safe.
