Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

“How do you find an enemy who is hidden right before your eyes?”

George Smiley (Gary Oldman), a Cold War spy forced into retirement, is called back to find a Soviet mole sitting at the top of the Circus, the British secret service. His suspects are the men he has worked beside for years, among them Bill Haydon (Colin Firth) and Percy Alleline (Toby Jones). Tomas Alfredson films 1970s London in drab browns and muted greens, and lets the tension build through quiet rooms and long pauses.
