To Catch a Thief

(1955)Directed by Alfred Hitchcock106 min · PGMystery, Romance, Thriller
“WANTED by the police in all the luxury-spots of Europe!... A catch for any woman!”

Someone is robbing the villas of the French Riviera, and the way it is done points to John Robie (Cary Grant), a retired jewel thief known as "The Cat." Alfred Hitchcock sends him after the copycat himself, with the police close behind and a rich widow's daughter, Frances Stevens (Grace Kelly), at his side. If Robie fails to find the real thief, he loses his freedom and the clean name he has worked to build.
