“A declaration of love on the big screen.”

Thirty-three filmmakers each get three minutes and one prompt: the cinema as a room you sit in. The result, made for the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, is 34 shorts from 25 countries, with Theo Angelopoulos and Olivier Assayas among the directors and Golshifteh Farahani and David Cronenberg among the faces. Each short is one filmmaker's answer to what the dark room still means to them.
