Tobruk

In September 1942, Rommel's Afrika Korps has driven the Allies back into Egypt, and the fuel dumps at Tobruk are all that stands in the way of a counter-attack. Major Donald Craig (Rock Hudson) leads British commandos and German Jews, with Captain Kurt Bergman (George Peppard) among them, on an undercover trek of 800 miles across open desert. Arthur Hiller's film is about men from opposing sides of a war who must trust each other to get anywhere.
