Toilet: A Love Story

Keshav Sharma (Akshay Kumar) is a shy, well-meaning man in a small Indian town, newly married to Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), a woman with her own ideas about how she wants to live. Their house has no toilet, and Jaya tells him she will leave unless he builds one, so Keshav sets out against his family and a town that treats the old way as sacred. Shree Narayan Singh keeps the focus on the two of them, a marriage held together by a stubborn promise.
