Tokyo Drifter

When his boss Kurata dissolves the gang, Tetsuya "Phoenix Tetsu" Hondo (Tetsuya Watari) turns down a rival kingpin's offer to join his side. The kingpin sends Tatsuzo the Viper (Tamio Kawachi), a hired gun, to kill him, and Tetsu takes to the countryside with the Viper close behind. Seijun Suzuki follows a man too loyal to change sides, who suspects someone he once trusted has already sold him out.
