Tokyo Family

Shukichi Hirayama (Isao Hashizume) and his wife Tomiko (Kazuko Yoshiyuki) travel to Tokyo hoping to spend time with their grown children. They find sons and daughters with full days of their own, and not much room left in them for two visiting parents. Yoji Yamada remakes Yasujiro Ozu's Tokyo Story with the same plain question underneath: what grown children owe the people who raised them.
