Amélie (Pauline Étienne) is a 21-year-old Belgian who has loved Japan for as long as she can remember, and now she has come to live in Tokyo. She offers French lessons on a bulletin board, and Rinri (Taichi Inoue), a Japanese student who loves all things French, answers. Stefan Liberski, adapting Amélie Nothomb's novel, leaves her in Rinri's company, the language lessons already turning into a romance.
