Tokyo Gore Police

“Tokyo Is Burning.”

Ruka (Eihi Shiina) is a cop on a privatized Tokyo police force, assigned to a squad that hunts the "engineers," mutants whose wounds grow into weapons. She is also looking for whoever killed her father. Yoshihiro Nishimura fills this city with cutter-targeted ads and bodies that don't stay in one piece, and what the film keeps asking you to look at is how easily people hurt themselves.
