Tom Horn

“See him before he sees you.”

Tom Horn (Steve McQueen), a former army scout who has spent his life tracking men across open country, wants only to keep working the one trade he knows. Ranchers led by John Coble (Richard Farnsworth) hire him to run down rustlers, and William Wiard films the job in sun-bleached range and dust. The work is plain and the pay is good, but the ranchers and officials around him play a game he cannot read, and a man's life is the price.
