“Tomie Will Not Die.”

Tsukiko Izumisawa (Mami Nakamura) sits in a psychiatrist's office in Japan, trying to recover a trauma she has buried, while Dr. Hosono (Yoriko Doguchi) puts her under hypnosis. Under it she keeps saying one name, Tomie, though she cannot say where it comes from. Detective Harada (Tomorowo Taguchi) meets the same name in a string of brutal murders, and Ataru Oikawa leaves Tsukiko speaking it aloud to a room that gives nothing back.
