Tomorrow Never Dies

(1997)Directed by Roger Spottiswoode119 min · PG-13Adventure, Action, Thriller
“Yesterday is a memory. Today is history. Tomorrow is in the hands of one man.”

In 1997, Elliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) owns the newspapers and broadcasters that decide what the world believes, and he has started staging international incidents to set the superpowers against one another. James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is sent after him, and finds a Chinese agent, Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh), already working the same case. Roger Spottiswoode directs it at a run, with one chase and one explosion handing off to the next.
