Toni
Toni (Charles Blavette) is an Italian who came to Provence in the 1920s for work in the quarries, and now he lives with Marie (Jenny Hélia) and wants a settled life among the locals. Then Josépha (Celia Montalván) comes into the picture, and Albert (Max Dalban), the foreman, makes every working day harder. Jean Renoir follows a man who thinks he has built a steady home, and who keeps reaching past it.
