“It's murder on the dance floor...”

Raúl Peralta (Alfredo Castro) is 52, lives in a Santiago boarding house, and has one fixed purpose, which is to become John Travolta's character from Saturday Night Fever. Pablo Larraín sets him in 1978, in the middle of Pinochet's Chile, and follows him as he rehearses the steps and works toward a television contest. Raúl stands in front of the screen, copying the white suit, his face flat and his eyes on the dance.
