“Love in action on land, sea and air!”

Shanghai, 1938, with the Sino-Japanese war on and newsreel cameramen working the front. Chris Hunter (Clark Gable), a shrewd reporter, meets the pilot Alma Harding (Myrna Loy), who does not trust him and says so. Jack Conway sends them through the South American jungle, where she is his assistant, he is still talking, and Buster Keaton's uncredited gags run through the scenes.
