“Life taught him to fight, Love taught him what to fight for.”

In the crowded lanes of Dongri, Aziz Ali (Farhan Akhtar) has no family and no trade beyond collecting money from shopkeepers with his fists. Then he meets Ananya (Mrunal Thakur), a young doctor who believes he could be a boxer, and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra follows a career that begins in a gym and in a stranger's patience. It is a story about a man who has only ever been taught to hit and what he does with that when someone points it at a ring.
