“Hitchcock takes you behind the actual headlines to expose the most explosive spy scandal of this century!”

In Copenhagen in 1962, a high-ranking Soviet official decides to change sides, and French intelligence agent André Devereaux (Frederick Stafford) is pulled into the quiet, dangerous work of getting him out. Alfred Hitchcock follows the trail from Denmark toward the Cuban Missile Crisis, with Nicole Devereaux (Dany Robin) at home and Jacques Granville (Michel Piccoli) inside the service. The war is silent and bloody, and André's own family sits in the middle of it.
