Toxic Love

Nobody in this crowd of Roman junkies seems to remember the days before the routine took over, and the film never explains how they got there. Claudio Caligari cast amateurs, most of them former or current addicts, so Cesare (Cesare Ferretti) and Michela (Michela Mioni) carry their days with no performance on top. Every hour is the same hunt for money and the next dose, and the repetition is the whole point.
