“Leave everything behind.”

Robyn Davidson (Mia Wasikowska) wants to be alone, and she picks the most direct way to get there: a walk from Alice Springs to the Indian Ocean with four camels and her dog. John Curran adapts her memoir of the nine-month trek, with Adam Driver as Rick Smolan, the photographer she lets into her plans. The film ends up on Robyn in the desert, the dog and the four camels walking beside her.
