“A True Love Story”

In 2005 Tokyo, a 23-year-old otaku known only as Densha Otoko (Takayuki Yamada) steps in on a train when a drunk man starts harassing a woman. She is the elegant Hermes (Miki Nakatani), and he is a man more at home online than in a conversation with a woman. Shosuke Murakami follows him as he posts every step to the 2channel message board, where strangers coach him, and one clumsy date could cost him her.
