Trainspotting

“Choose life.”

Renton (Ewan McGregor) keeps trying to get clean, and each attempt falls apart among the friends he shoots up with in Edinburgh: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Tommy (Kevin McKidd) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Danny Boyle follows him through the failed plans and the move to London, where the old crowd comes knocking. Renton stands in a London flat, newly sober, as Begbie and Sick Boy walk in.
