“The best in the business is back in the game.”

Frank Martin (Jason Statham), a former Special Forces officer, only wants to get through a stretch of ordinary work in Miami, driving the young son of a government narcotics policy director to school. Then the boy is marked for kidnapping, and Frank steps between the child and the men after him. Louis Leterrier puts him in the orbit of Jefferson Billings (Matthew Modine), where a quiet favor for a friend becomes the job he can't walk away from.
