Trapeze

“High...High...High...Above Them All! - in excitement! - in spectacle! - in fire, flesh and fury!”

In 1956, under the big top of the Cirque d'Hiver in Paris, the former flyer Mike Ribble (Burt Lancaster) limps through his days after a fall ended his career. A young American, Tino Orsini (Tony Curtis), wants Mike to teach him the triple, the most dangerous move in the trapeze. Carol Reed lets Lola (Gina Lollobrigida) climb the rope ladder toward the two men, the only thing between them and the ground a net.
