Travels with My Aunt

Henry Pulling (Alec McCowen), a stuffy bank clerk, goes to his mother's funeral and meets an aunt he has never known, and she is nothing like the family he buried that morning. Augusta Bertram (Maggie Smith) is an elderly eccentric with shady dealings, and she hauls him along on a whirlwind trip to rescue an old lover. George Cukor sets the cautious nephew beside his reckless aunt, and each trip leaves the two of them a little closer.
