Treasure Island

(1950)Directed by Byron Haskin96 minAdventure, Family
“PIRATE'S PLUNDER a young cabin boy, a roguish buccaneer... match wits in a swashbuckling adventure!”

In 1880s England, young Jim Hawkins (Bobby Driscoll) learns of a treasure map and sails for a Caribbean island with Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey. Byron Haskin sends them out on a ship already crewed by Captain Flint's old pirates, led by the one-legged cook Long John Silver (Robert Newton). Jim wants an adventure, and Silver, all friendly grins and rolling Cornish growl, is the first grown man to treat him as a partner.
