Treasure Island

A dying pirate (Viktor Andriienko) turns up at the inn, and the map he leaves behind pulls young Jim Hawkins (Valeriy Bessarab) into the hunt for a buccaneer's treasure beside the one-legged cook John Silver (Armen Dzhigarkhanyan). Davyd Cherkaskyi made this Soviet Ukrainian adaptation as mostly hand-drawn animation, with live-action interludes where costumed actors sing against drinking and smoking. Between the voyages, the cast steps out in costume and sings.
