Treasure Island

“Sail the high seas. Battle the pirates. Live the adventure.”

Jim Hawkins (Christian Bale) helps his mother run the Benbow Inn until Captain Billy Bones (Oliver Reed) dies there and Blind Pew (Christopher Lee) and his buccaneers come looking for the map in his belongings. With it, Jim sails on the Hispaniola with Squire Trelawney (Richard Johnson) and a ship's cook named Long John Silver (Charlton Heston). Fraser Clarke Heston, who also directed his father in the lead, keeps the pace brisk and the adventure bright.
