Trial by Fire

“Stand for what's right. Fight for what's true.”

A house in Texas burns, and Cameron Todd Willingham (Jack O'Connell) loses his three children to the fire. He is then convicted of setting it himself and sent to death row, while the scientific evidence and expert testimony that support his innocence are suppressed. Edward Zwick follows Elizabeth Gilbert (Laura Dern), a playwright who starts writing to him, and the clock on his execution keeps running.
