In a forest of colorful mushrooms and singing flowers lives Poppy (Anna Kendrick), a relentlessly optimistic troll. When the Bergen trolls capture most of her village, Poppy must journey into their bleak kingdom with Branch (Justin Timberlake), a grumpy loner who thinks optimism is a liability. By the end, Poppy learns that her brightness can't fix everything.
