Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a video game designer, wants his stolen games back, so he hacks the mainframe of the company that took them. The machine pulls him inside, and Steven Lisberger puts him on a grid of programs with faces, where he joins Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) against the Master Control Program. Under the glowing circuitry, the film is about people who build a world and then have to answer to it.
