Tropical Malady

“Love is a malady without a cure...”

Keng (Banlop Lomnoi), a soldier, spends his days off with Tong (Sakda Kaewbuadee), a country boy, and what he wants from the friendship slowly becomes plain. Apichatpong Weerasethakul films their courtship as a string of ordinary outings, until Tong disappears and the story turns to Thai folklore. In the second half Keng is a soldier lost in the woods, and the spirit of a shaman is watching him.
