Trouble in Paradise

(1932)Directed by Ernst Lubitsch83 minComedy, Crime, Romance
“HIS PARADISE BECAME A MERRY HELL!”

Gaston (Herbert Marshall) and Lily (Miriam Hopkins) are thieves and lovers, and what they want is a bigger score than anything they have pulled before. They set it on Mariette (Kay Francis), who runs a perfume company, and Gaston takes a job as her personal secretary under the name Monsieur Laval. Ernst Lubitsch sends him into her house to rob her, and the closer he gets to her, the less sure he is of his own plan.
