This 2002 Disney Channel movie follows Trudy "Tru" Walker (Clara Bryant), a girl who wants to be a famous filmmaker and can't stand her own life. Her twin brother Eddie (Shia LaBeouf), who has a developmental disability from oxygen deprivation at birth, becomes the subject of the documentary she makes for a film contest. Paul Hoen directs it from Janet Tashjian's 1997 book, keeping the camera close to the family at home.
