Trucker

“Some Things in life you can't leave behind”

Diane Ford (Michelle Monaghan) spends her days on the highway behind the wheel of a truck, and she has not seen her 11-year-old son, Peter, in years. She likes it that way. When Peter's father, Len (Benjamin Bratt), falls ill and asks her to take the boy in, she agrees reluctantly, and neither of them is happy about it. James Mottern directs it with a plain, steady eye, keeping the camera on Diane and Peter and letting the quiet between them stand.
